The Flex elective programme started in the summer semester with a total of 6 modules, which are open to all departments and semesters. Some courses have now been completed and allow us to make an initial assessment.

For the first time this summer semester, the FHP Entrepreneurship School & the Start-up 手机买足球的app offered a comprehensive Flex elective module programme. Under the motto "skill your future & get credits", students from all departments have the opportunity to have the ZEGM Flex elective modules recognised for their Bachelor's or Master's degree programme with corresponding ECTS credit points. Depending on the specialisation, the 6 modules teach business fundamentals, project development know-how and entrepreneurship qualifications.

The first seminars have now been completed. These include the English-language course "Business Development" from module ZEGM 6 and the course "Sustainable Project Development" from module ZEGM 03: "Pitch your green Idea: Developing sustainable project or start-up ideas". As project coordinator Anke Lüers-Salzmann emphasises, the courses support the internationalisation strategy of the FH Potsdam and are in line with the focus on sustainability and sustainable projects.

Popular English-language format in its 4th generation

The Business Development course is actually not a new offering from the Centre for Start-ups, Enterprise and Management Qualifications and was held for the fourth time. This semester, course director Anett Lommatzsch was once again pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the students, who come from Oman, Latvia and Finland and are based in the various departments.

In the course, participants learn how to set up a business as a freelancer: from the (fictitious) idea to the business model. Specific start-up projects in Brandenburg and abroad are also supported. This not only promotes the students and their plans, but also leads to a far-reaching exchange between the countries and cultures. "It was inspiring to see the great ideas that were expressed and the profound interest the students have in the measures for implementing their projects," summarised the course instructor.

In demand: green companies & social entrepreneurship

The "Sustainable project development" course was also interdisciplinary and had participants from the Library Sciences, Product Design, Architecture as well as Arts Management and Cultural Work degree programmes. The focus of the seminar was primarily on developing and preparing start-up ideas in the field of the "green economy" and founding socially motivated companies. In addition to imparting basic knowledge, the ideas were scrutinised together with trainer Anett Lommatzsch for their useful purpose and market readiness. Participation in a conference organised by the Germany-wide network of "Social Entrepreneurs" was also part of the course content.

Both seminars and the other modules will be offered again in the coming winter semester. Self-enrolment will again take place in Moodle.
