Since 2021, the volunteer architecture students have dedicated themselves to topics and perspectives that are often neglected in regular studies. Through lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions and elective courses, they create spaces for exchange and reflection. The collective focusses on topics such as barrier-free planning, alternative, ecological and future-oriented building approaches, as well as feminist perspectives in the construction industry and in the trades.

Their previous projects include the "Queens of Structure" exhibition, which honours outstanding female civil engineers, and the current "Bunte Aussichten" event series with lectures and film screenings about female architects in theory and practice.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, 19/06/2025 from 4.00 pm as part of the alumni and summer party. The collective will be honoured with a laudatory speech by student Vice President Leo Blohm. The prize is endowed with 500 Euros.

Since the mid-1990s, the prize for special commitment has been awarded annually by the F?rdergesellschaft. After a break of several years, the award will be reintroduced in 2025 to honour current voluntary initiatives and projects at the university.
